Cambridge School offers a wide range of English courses for young learners and teenagers aged from 6 to 14 years.
Young learners learn through a ‘hands on’ experience and, at Cambridge School, this is encouraged with communicative activities and games, using children’s energy and natural ability to imitate sounds and learn a new language.
From the beginning, students build a useful selection of everyday vocabulary and become familiar with the sounds and pronunciation of the language which they are studying. All levels of our programme for young students and teenagers use methods and materials specially prepared and created for their age.
In the English courses for teenagers, young people are prepared to enter a preparation course for Cambridge English First – B2, the first of the Cambridge University exams at the age of 15 or 16.
French courses
In the French course, the junior programmes consist of four levels, from 11 to 14 years of age. The students will be prepared to join any of our Group Courses, culminating in the DELF and DALF exams, recognized by the French Ministry of Education.
German courses
German courses for children and teenagers. Children who would like to learn German can be enrolled in a children’s group for 6 to 9 year-olds where they can acquire the basic vocabulary and structures of the German language through playful, communicative teaching activities and age-appropriate material. For students who are interested in German, enrolments are open for a junior course for 10 to 14 year olds. From the age of 15, students can transfer to a general group course, which can be completed with a Goethe exam recognized by the German Federal Ministry of Education (Goethe certificate B1, Goethe certificate B2, Goethe certificate C1).
For further information, contact the school nearest to you and book an interview to assess your level and discuss the goals to be achieved. The interview is free of charge and there is no obligation to enrol.
